Hossain was part of the 13-man Bangladesh squad that played in the 2010 Asian Games in late November.[1] The team played Afghanistan in the final and won by five wickets, securing the country's first gold medal at the Asian Games.[2] He made his ODI debut on 14 August 2011 against Zimbabwe. Coming in with Bangladesh's score at 58 for 6, the 19-year-old Hossain top-scored for his side with 63 runs from 92 balls, lifting the score to 188. It was not enough, and Zimbabwe won by seven wickets. In the final game of the five-match series, Hossain accidentally injured Zimbabwe fast bowler Keegan Meth. Hossain drove a delivery from Meth straight back and the bowler was unable to get out of the way. He was struck in the mouth, knocking out four teeth.[4]
After losing the ODI series against Zimbabwe 3–2, Bangladesh hosted the West Indies in October for a T20I, three ODIs, and two Tests. In the second ODI, he scored his second half-century. He again came to the wicket with Bangladesh struggling and scored 50 from 54 deliveries.[5] In the final match of the ODI series, which Bangladesh lost 2–1, Hossain took his first wickets in the format. His first was that of left-handed opening batsman Kieran Powell with a delivery that pitched on leg stump and spun to hit the off stump. On a turning pitch Hossain's two wickets for three runs (2/3) helped Bangladesh bowl West Indies out for 61, their second lowest score, and win the match.[6] Starting in November, Pakistan toured Bangladesh. In the second of three ODIs Hossain scored his maiden international century. He scored 100 runs off 134 balls and was named Man of the Match for his efforts, though Bangladesh lost.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) founded the six-team Bangladesh Premier League in 2012, a twenty20 tournament to be held in February that year. An auction was held for teams to buy players, and Hossain was bought by the Khulna Royal Bengal for $200,000, the highest price paid for a Bangladeshi player. In April the BCB awarded Hossain a central contract for the first time.

Mohammad Naeem Islam is an international cricketer from Bangladesh. He was born on 31 December 1986 in Gaibandha and is a right-handed batsman and occasional off break bowler. He made his debut for Rajshahi Division in 2004/05 and played through the 2006/07 season, after having represented the full range of Bangladesh representative youth teams and went on to make his international debut on 9 October 2008 against New Zealand. He has scored seven centuries and 17 fifties in first-class cricket as of December 2011, with a best of 136 against Barisal Division.

International career

Following the exodus of 14 players to the Dhaka Warriors team of the unsanctioned Indian Cricket League, Bangladesh were forced to introduce new players. Naeem Islam was one of three uncapped players called into the Bangladesh squad for a series of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) against New Zealand in October 2008, shortly after the exodus. Chief selector Rafiqul Alam called Islam a "talented young batsman". He played in all three matches in the series, although his first innings was not until the second match when he was run out without facing a ball. Naeem top scored in the final match with an unbeaten 46 in Chittagong, although that was unable to prevent his side slumping to a 79-run loss.
That was followed by his inclusion in the Test squad to face New Zealand in Chittagong, where he made his Test debut, scoring 14 in the first innings and 19 in the second. On a turning track, he picked up his maiden Test wicket when he dismissed Daniel Flynn caught behind in New Zealand's first innings.
Naeem was part of the 13-man Bangladesh squad that played in the 2010 Asian Games in late November. They played Afghanistan in the final and won by five wickets, securing the country's first gold medal at the Asian Games. The Bangladesh Cricket Board founded the six-team Bangladesh Premier League in 2012, a twenty20 tournament to be held in February that year. An auction was held for teams to buy players, and Naeem was bought by the Sylhet Royals for $90,000.

Mohammad Rubel Hossain (born 1 January 1990 in Bagerhat) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his ODI debut on 14 January 2009 in Bangladesh's victory over Sri Lanka, where he took 4/33 in 5.3 overs in a shortened ODI game. He made his Test debut on 9 July 2009 against the West Indies, and took 3 wickets. He has also featured in two Twenty20 matches, both coming in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20.

Early career

A quick bowler with a slingy action—not dissimilar to Lasith Malinga's—Rubel can consistently deliver good pace and bounce. His first-class debut arrived for Chittagong Division in 2007, where he picked up match figures of 1/137 against Khulna Division. After a string of good performances in the National Cricket League, he was selected to play for the Bangladesh Under-19 team, and soon after, the Bangladesh A team.

International career

Rubel was named in the ODI squad for the tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, and made his debut in the third game of the round-robin stage, a game Bangladesh needed to win to progress to the final. Rubel cleaned up the middle-order and tail with a 4 wicket haul in just 5.3 overs. He also played in the tri-series final, where he had a poor end to the game, but retained his place for the three ODI series against Zimbabwe soon after. More good performances led to him being named in the Test squad to face the West Indies for the first time. He made his debut at Arnos Vale, and took three wickets in West Indies' 1st innings, and also formed a good 10th wicket partnership with Shahadat Hossain in Bangladesh's 1st innings.
In November 2011, Pakistan toured Bangladesh for three ODIs and two Tests. Pakistan won the first Test by an innings, and Bangladesh took just five wickets in the match. At times Hossain reached speeds of 145 km/h (90 mph) but failed to take a wicket] On the third day, he injured his right shoulder while diving in the field.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board founded the six-team Bangladesh Premier League in 2012, a twenty20 tournament to be held in February that year.An auction was held for teams to buy players, and Rubel was bought by the Sylhet Royals for $70,000.

Imrul Kayes (Bengali: ইমরুল কায়েস) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer who plays for Khulna Division as a left-hand batsman and occasional wicket-keeper. He made his first-class debut in 2006, playing 15 first-class matches and 16 One Day matches before being called up for the third One Day International between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Chittagong.
Batting at number three, he made just 12 runs as Bangladesh lost by 79 runs.
He made his Test debut in November 2008, playing the first match of a series in South Africa. He opened the batting on his debut, but made just 10 and 4 in his two innings, being dismissed twice on the second afternoon of the match.
He later found form in 2010 scoring 867 runs, becoming the 5th highest runs scorer of the year in ODIs at an average of 32.11. He scored his maiden ODI century against New Zealand. When the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its list of central contracts in November 2010, Kayes has given a grade B contract.

Bangaldesh failed to progress beyond the group stage of the 2011 World Cup; Kayes was Bangladesh's leading run-scorer in the tournament with 188 runs at an average of 37.60. During the tournament, he produced two Man-of-the-Match performances, striking fifties against England and the Netherlands to help Bangladesh to victory on each occasion, though he felt bowler Shafiul Islam deserved the first award instead. With Manjural Islam Rana he became just the second Bangladesh player to win consecutive Man-of-the-Match awards in ODIs.
The BCB founded the six-team Bangladesh Premier League in 2012, a twenty20 tournament to be held in February that year. An auction was held for teams to buy players,
and Kayes was bought by the Sylhet Royals for $50,000. He scored 102 runs from 7 innings in the competition. In April the BCB upgraded Kayes' central contract from grade B to grade A.

When he came onto the international scnene he was cited by then coach Dav Whatmore as the fastest bowler in the team. The following year, Hossain made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Kenya. At times Hossain has struggled with conceding too many runs, and for that reason was dropped in 2009. In November 2010, Hossain was a member of the squad that won Bangladesh's first gold in any event at the Asian Games. A broken toe prevented Hossain from playing for Bangladesh in July 2011, but after more than a year since his last Test he returned to the squad in October that year.

Abdur Razzak (Bengali: আব্দুর রাজ্জাক) (born 15 June 1982) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut at Bangladeshi domestic level for Khulna Division in the 2001/02 season. Best known for being a tall left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he helped guide his division to the National Cricket Title in his maiden season. From there he was selected for Bangladesh A (training team for the full national squad) performing well against Zimbabwe A, including figures of 7 for 17 in one game in Dhaka.
Razzak was called into the Bangladesh national team for the 2004 Asia Cup One Day International tournament, making his debut against Hong Kong in July. He established himself as a regular fixture in the squad although he was not a regular in the starting eleven. He made his Test debut in the second Test of the Australian tour of Bangladesh in April 2006. Though he has played just nine Tests, he has been more successful in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and is Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in the format.[1]

Mohammad Ashraful (Bengali: মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল) (born 7 July 1984) is a Bangladeshi international cricket player and has represented the Bangladesh national cricket team. A top-order batsman with a penchant for flashy strokeplay, he has also been selected to represent ACC Asia XI ODI side. Between 2007 and 2009, Ashraful captained his country in 13 Tests, losing all but one which ended in a draw, and 38 One Day Internationals (ODIs) of which Bangladesh won eight. Ashraful scored the fastest fifty in the test among any batsman of the world and scored the fastest fifty in the ODI and twenty20 international among any Bangladeshi batsman.[2][3][4] Ashraful is Bangladesh's second-highest run-scorer in both Tests and ODIs.[5][6] When not playing with the national team, Ashraful plays domestic cricket for the Dhaka Division cricket team in Bangladesh's domestic one-day and first-class competitions, captaining both sides on occasion.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (Bengali: মাশরাফি বিন মুর্তজা) (born 5 October 1983 in Narail District, Jessore) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He broke into the national side in late 2001 against Zimbabwe and represented Bangladesh before having played a single first-class match. Mortaza captained his country in one Test and seven One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 2009 and 2010, however injury meant he was in and out of the side and Shakib Al Hasan was appointed captain in Mortaza's absence.
Mortaza is considered one of the fastest bowlers produced by Bangladesh, usually bowling in the mid-80s mph (130s km/h),[2] and regularly opens the bowling. He is a useful lower-middle order batsman, with a first-class century and three Test half centuries to his name. Mortaza's career has been hampered by injuries and he has undergone a total of ten operations on his knees and ankles.
He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2009 Indian Premier League; although KKR paid US$600,000 for Mortaza, he played just one match for them. Due to his international commitments, Mortaza has infrequently played for Khulna Division in Bangladesh's domestic cricket competitions. While he has represented Bangladesh 36 times in Tests and in 124 ODIs between 2001 and 2012 he has played only 11 first-class and 9 list A matches for Khulna Division in the same period.[3][4] In 2012 he joined the Dhaka Gladiators in the newly formed Bangladesh Premier League twenty20 competition and captained them to the tournament title
